Literacy Coaching Clearinghouse Year 2 (7/1/07- 6/30/08) Goals

A. Goals for Year 2

1. Collaborate with NCTE and IRA on development of an online Literacy Coaching Pathway and a Literacy Coaching Study Group Module, conference presentations, and the LCC website
2. Maintain and enhance high standards for literacy coaches
3. Achieve full coverage of research concerning literacy coaching
4. Generate revenue, reputation, and activity concerning literacy coaching within IRA and NCTE

B. Action plans to reach these goals

1. Plan to broaden and deepen the website by:
   1. adding more descriptors that will increase hits
   2. revising how the blog and forums work and increasing the number of blog entries to 225 by 7/1/08 and the forum entries to 75 entries per forum
   3. continuing to add to the briefs (8) and library (a minimum of 5 books; 8 research reports; 12 articles)
   4. developing a LCC collaborators group
   5. doubling the number of registered website users to 1200
   6. achieving a steady growth of the number of unique visitors to the site, number of visits, pages, and hits to double the current figures 
   7. increasing the length of a visit to the website to 8 minutes
2. Development of the online Literacy Coaching Pathway
3. Submission of a proposal to IRA for a Literacy Coaching Study Group Module   
4. Outreach to organizations – especially to others such as administrators.     I have highlighted those that include other IRA members.

   2. NRC Study Group Proposal for 11/07 – Accepted
   3. NASSP, 2/08 – Rejected, asked to submit for 2/09
   4. NAESP, 4/08 – Accepted
   5. IRA Featured Speaker for 5/08 – Accepted
   6. IRA Presentation in a 2.5 hour session on literacy coaching – Accepted
   7. Arranged for Jan Burkins to be part of this 2.5 hour session
5. Continue to highlight IRA and NCTE products related to coaching and provide direct links to the products
6. Monitor and increase the sales of IRA and NCTE products that can be linked to the LCC website
