This is the powerpoint presentation that Nancy Shanklin presented as part of the 2006 NCTE Conference session entitled, "Increasing the Effectiveness of Literacy Coaches," sponsored by the Literacy Coaching Clearinghouse. In this powerpoint, Shanklin outlines results of a survey of Colorado middle and high school listeracy coaches. The survey examines coaches' qualifications, roles, and supports in middle and high schools. The data suggest concepts that need be in place if coaching is to be successful at the secondary level.
